CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – September 28, 2011 – It’s that time of year again…

Cedar Rapids Animal Care & Control is celebrating their October pet adoption special, “Study Buddies”. “Imagine how wonderful it would be to spend your study time cuddled up with a new pet totally devoted and grateful to you for giving him/her a second chance for a new life,” said Diane Webber, Program Manager for the animal shelter.  “It’s a bond that you’ll cherish for a lifetime, and one that actually has health benefits for both you and your pet, like reducing stress.”

 “Study Buddies” adoptions are limited to the first 2 weeks of October.  Shelter hours are Monday through Friday from 12-5 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm.  Only pets already altered and waiting for adoption will be available at the special rate of $25 for cats and $50 for dogs.

The special adoption fee will include:

·        Spay/neuter

·        Preliminary vaccinations

·        Microchip implant

·        Flea/tick treatment

·        Deworming
